Geena is among the most well-known and rich Movie Actresses. Geena Davis was born January 21, 1956, from Wareham Massachusetts United States. She was a Mensa member and actress who played roles in Thelma & Louise Beetlejuice, Stuart Little and Thelma & Louise. The actress was nominated for an Golden Globe Award nominee for her performance as Dottie hinson as Dottie hinson in A League of Their Own. In 1988, she won the Academy Award Best Supporting actor for Muriel Pritchett's character in the film The Accidental Tourist. She was a part of the American comedy-horror film Beetlejuice in 1988, composed by Tim Burton and directed by him. She also starred in Beetlejuice in 1988. Davis received many accolades both in screen and on television. The actress was praised for portraying authentic, strong women as well as her support to support women in the field. Early on, she developed a love for music. When she was a teenager she was able to play flute, the piano and organ. She had the opportunity to perform as organist in her Congregationalist Church of Wareham. Davis graduated from Wareham High School. As one of the exchange students from Sandviken Sweden she became fluent with Swedish. She graduated in 1979 and earned a bachelor of arts in drama at Boston University. Davis worked as a window-mannequin for Ann Taylor after completing her diploma. Then she signed with the New York's Zoli Model Agency. The youngest from three kids born to Mexican-Italian parents Josie Nelson and Barry Nelson. She is the eldest of three siblings, Nathan three siblings: Neal, Nathan and Nick. She was born and raised in Concord California. Although she had the dream of being a professional soccer player when she was a child, an injury to her ankle in 2002 during her senior year of highschool prevented that to happen. The injury healed and she continued to play as a striker Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill California in which she received her associate degree in art. She was awarded Junior College All-American and transferred to Arizona State University, where she ceased playing soccer due to self-doubt. Then she went on onto California State University Fullerton, where she graduated with an associate degree in management of business. Following these studies, she relocated from Los Angeles in order to pursue modeling and acting work. In Los Angeles, she ran upon an audition call for W.W.E. In the end, after impressing talent scouts she was offered a 4 week trial period. Her move from Florida was in order to begin her training.
